Let's Go Offline

My submission to the GB Pixel Art Jam 2024

The theme was to get inspired by a choice of 4 different colour palettes.

Using the Mangavania palette, my submission is inspired by the famous Wii "Why not take a break?" screen. The blue was very reminiscent and the pink helped me imagine a very calm and cute environment, matching my mood at the time.

I channeled my inner graphic design roots with the phrase, "LET'S GO OFFLINE" framing the image. With a cowboy hat hung on a super retro computer. 

Overall, I'd like to think my submission acts as reminder to us that we should always make time to hang up our hat and go offline, just like the Wii did back in the day.
